In a meeting that lasted less than 30 minutes, the Kidder Township Board of Supervisors took care of business.

Only three of the five supervisors were present at the April meeting. Supervisors Robert Lengle and Tom Bradley were unable to attend.Fortunately, there were no major issues to decide on the agenda. The normal business was conducted, the bills were paid and the monthly reports of the various commissions, councils and departments were accepted.New business included the advertising of township Ordinance No. 156, which amends Ordinance No. 144 Governing Hydrants Installed within the township and Ordinance No. 157, which amends Section 39-4(g)(3) of the Kidder Township Code providing for payment to a surviving spouse of a police officer killed in the line of duty.The advertising of both amendments was approved.There were four recommendations from the planning commission on the agenda. The board of supervisors will take under consideration amending an ordinance to correct the definition of building height, the adoption of the 2012 International Property Maintenance Code, with amendments, and the amending of an ordinance to include the 911 address signs.The supervisors did approve the signing of a Municipal Land Use Letter addressed to the Department of Environmental Protection by planning administrator, Ginny Compton.
