Tamaqua native travels to another galaxy for Toys For Tots

Ryan Miorelli, a Penn State student and Tamaqua graduate, volunteered some of his holiday season to collect Toys For Tots at a Star Wars themed event in King of Prussia. During the charity event, Miorelli, who portrayed himself as Luke Skywalker, collected new toys along with fellow members of two international groups Rebel Legion and the 501st Legion. Miorelli stated that both groups are dedicated to accurate portrayals of Star Wars characters. They routinely get involved in a number charity events.
