The Penn Forest Township Transfer Station and Municipal Building will be open New Year's Eve from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The transfer station and municipal building will not be open on Tuesday, Jan. 1. You will need your 2013 Transfer Station permit to dispose of any garbage at the Transfer Station starting Wednesday, Jan. 2. There will be no exceptions.Transfer station fees are due by Jan. 4. You may make your payments at the municipal building, online at

www.pennforesttownship.org or by mail. All mail must be postmarked by Jan. 4 to receive the Limited Usage permit and to avoid penalties. The penalty fee will be applied at close of business on Jan. 4.The board of supervisors reorganization meeting will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 7, at the municipal building at 2010 State Route 903, Jim Thorpe.
