Tamaqua Family Practice, St. Luke'sdonate to food pantries

The St. Luke's Sports and Rehabilitation department of the St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital Center in Coaldale organized their 6th annual food drive to benefit the Tamaqua Salvation Army Food Pantry and Lansford Shepherd House Food Pantry. The food donation will benefit families in both Carbon and Schuylkill counties through the Tamaqua Salvation Army and Lansford Food Pantry and benefit families in Monroe County through Christ the King Food Pantry. Hundreds of food donations were collected at a number of on-site and off-site locations, to include a large snowman filled with donations raised from the Tamaqua Family Practice. Pictured with a portion of donations collected are, from left, Betty Pearson, 20-year volunteer with the Lansford Food Pantry; Claudia Sokol, Lansford Food Pantry volunteer; Frank Tongue, Tamaqua Salvation Army volunteer; and St. Luke's staff Margaret Pascoe, CTA/L, Occupational Therapy; Jessica Herness, MPT, Physical Therapist, St. Luke's Rehabilitation and Laurene Gabriel, MS CCC-SLP, Speech Therapy.
