Mark Cunning, 27, of Mt. Pocono is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence and driving without a license after an incident at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14 on Route 611 in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said they observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 611 and attempted to stop it. The driver pulled into the Bailey's parking lot at which time police observed him exit the vehicle and flee into the lot.Police said they located Cunning hiding behind a parked vehicle, where several pills were found lying on the ground. Police said Cunning admitted to driving the vehicle and discarding the pills.
