A Carbon County driver was involved in a two vehicle crash in Lehigh County in which he was cited. State police at Fogelsville said the accident occurred about 7:42 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, on the off-ramp of Interstate 78 at Lehigh St., in Salisbury Township.

Troopers said Nicholas A. Holmes, 43, of Summit Hill, driving a 2002 Subaru Outback, was in the left lane of the two-lane ramp, while Jason M. Witt, 33, of Allentown, was in the right lane driving a 2011 Toyota Camry.Troopers said Holmes was waiting for a traffic light to got south on Lehigh while Witt was going to merge onto Lehigh St. northbound.Troopers said Holmes pulled into the right lane of travel just as Witt was passing which caused his Outback to strike the front driver's side of the Camry with its front passenger side.Both vehicles came to rest on the right shoulder of the ramp. Damages were disabling to both vehicles and they were towed from the scene.Holmes, Witt and his seven-year-old female passenger, were all not injured.Holmes was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
