The Eldred Beagle Club in Kunkletown held its annual Fun Trial Run-Off on Sept. 9. Beagles were divided into two classes: 13-inch and 15-inch.
Brad Haydt and Pete Zakanyez were the field trial judge for both classes and for the Absolute Run.The 2012 Eldred Beagle Club 13-inch Class Fun Trial Run-Off First Place Winner is "Coal Crackers Khloe," handled by Tom Lienhard.The 2012 Eldred Beagle Club 15-inch Class Fun Trial Run-Off Winners are: First place "Hunter Creek Jimbo," handled by Roger George; second place "Thibodeaux," handled by Tina Drake.Both first place winners were awarded $100 gift certificates and second place received $75 gift certificate and a ribbon.Trophies were awarded to the dog in each class who scored the most points throughout the year, also known as the consistency winner. The 13-inch class winner was Lienhard's "Khloe," and for the 15-inch class it was "Jimbo" handled by George.An Absolute Run was also held where the winner of each class competed for the title. The Absolute winner was awarded a plaque and a bag of dog food. This year's Absolute winner was "Khloe."The Eldred Beagle Club holds fun trials at the club grounds and it is open to anyone with an AKC registered beagle. For the 2012-2013 Fun Trial Season a Garmin ASTRO 320 will be awarded to the top male and to the top female. Go to Up-Coming Events on the website for a copy of the rules and dates at
