Santa's coming

Santa Claus is coming to town from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7, at the Chestnuthill Park Building in Brodheadsville. For more information call (570) 992-3317.Helpful LeosPleasant Valley High School Leos' Petoberfest in October netted 935 pounds of pet food; 1,170 pounds of cat litter; and boxes of toys, gently-used towels, blankets, sheets and cleaning supplies.The Leos also collected around 25 turkeys for local food pantries and about 600 used coats. Half were given to needy students in the school district and the remainder will be given to PVEN for distribution at its community service center.This high school community service group is also collecting supplies for victims of Hurricane Sandy, such as paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, or napkins.
