A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Palm Beverages Inc., 619 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, was cited for issued checks or drafts in payment for purchases of malt or brewed beverages when the licensee had insufficient funds in, or credit with, the institution upon which drawn for the payment of such checks.This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who had the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
