Tuesday, Nov. 27, is the final date to register for the Holiday Dinner sponsored by the Carbon Mountaineers Marine Corps League 996 and Aquashicola Fire Company. Veterans, families and individuals and elderly people who reside in the Palmerton Area School District are invited to a full course holiday meal from noon to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Aquashicola Fire Company, Aquashicola. The fire company is located on-quarter mile east of Palmerton on Little Gap Road.

Veterans, families and individuals who want to take part in this outreach should call H.F. (Nick) Hawkey at (610) 826-6465 by 9 p.m. Tuesday. Reservations are required.Please provide names, address and ages of children. Families with children up to age 14 will also have the opportunity to register for toys at the dinner through the Blue Ridge Food and Toy Drive.Santa will be present for the kiddies and there will be patriotic entertainment by the Dream Kids from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.The information is needed by 9 p.m. Tuesday so that preparations can be in place for the dinner for all who attend.
