Lehighton Area Council of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce will present "Christmas in the Park," an Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration on Friday, Dec. 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The annual event will be held at the bandshell in the upper park in Lehighton. Rain or shine. Santa Claus will arrive at 6:30 p.m.Paul Smith and the Lehighton Band will provide musical entertainment with all your favorite Christmas Carols while the Senior Girl Scouts, Troop 583, provide the hot cocoa.Each child 12 and under will be entered in a drawing to receive numerous presents including two girl's and two boy's bicycles courtesy of Walmart and Lehighton Downtown Initiative Committee. Candy Canes will also be given out by Santa.
