Some say there are logical reasons why the Mayan calendar ended on the date that it did; only to begin a new cycle, but what about the date 12-21-12? It marks the winter solstice, which is the darkest day of the year. As this dark day passes, it leads to longer and warmer days, to a year of new growth. But the Mayans weren't the only ones to pick this date.Osiris is the Egyptian god of death and resurrection. The Egyptians predicted that on December 21, 2012, at 22:11 a.m. (Greenwich Meridian Time). Osiris will rise again when the sun will align with the galactic center of the Milky Way galaxy, which occurs every 3,000 years. The precession of the equinoxes will conclude a 26,000 year cycle and bring the age of Pisces to an end and begin the Age of Aquarius. The cycle will begin as the sun rise out of the mouth of the Ouraboros (the Serpent of the Milky Way). The sun will rise in Sagittarius and will be depicted as the centaur with a bow. Osiris is seen coming out of the Leviathan as the sun god, who is "rising again." The ancients foresaw this time as pointing to destruction and judgment "from the gods."Osiris was the oldest son of the earth god, Geb, and, the sky goddess, Nut. In December of this year, Orion's Belt will rise directly over the three pyramids of Egypt. The Egyptians picked December 2012, for the resurrection (rising) of Osiris to return to earth; a return to life and order to the world. This will symbolize a new consciousness rising. It will be Osiris rising in the Age of Aquarius.According to the followers of the occult, there are three star gates that need to be opened to usher in the Age of Aquarius; the age of peace, love and harmony. The first star gate was opened in 1999, the second in 2011, and the third star gate will be opened on December 21, 2012, at 11:11 GMT. Interestingly, it's to be ushered in by a new world order, and a "superman" who will unite the world after a possible global collapse. It could be economic, political, religious or a combination of them all. The star gates are those from which spiritual entities will break forth into the world scene to aid in a great work.
