Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., will hold a worship service with Holy communion and children's' sermon at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25. The service will be led by the Rev. George P. Zacharda. Christ the King Sunday is the last Sunday of Pentecost, the Church's "New Year's Eve." The Christian calendar begins Advent next week. Coffee house fellowship follows the worship service.A nursery will be available during the 9 a.m. worship service for children through age 6, staffed with an experienced caregiver who is trained in CPR & first aid and a youth volunteer.Sunday School "Power Hour" begins at 10:15 a.m. for ages 3 through adults.Advent Cantata plannedThe Advent Cantata "The Voices of Christmas" by Joseph Martin will be performed by combined choirs and a full orchestra, including a harpist at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov 25 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St.Miracle in the MangerThe young people who attend the Trinity Lutheran Church Sunday School Power Hour will present their program "Miracle in the Manger" during the 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 worship service. Fellowship/Christmas reception follows in Luther Hall at 10:15 a.m..Seasonal decorating of the church takes place at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15. Volunteers are welcome to participate in the hanging of the greens and adorning two live trees with lights and "Chrismon" ornaments. Chrismon is shortened from "Christ" and "mono"gram. The Chrismons were first developed in 1957 by Mrs. Frances Kipps Spencer at Ascension Lutheran Church, Danville, Virginia.
