Eighth annual Skytop Holiday Arts Festival: A Thanksgiving tradition

The inspirational creativity of local artists and artisans goes hand-in-hand with the natural beauty of the bucolic Pocono Mountains. The Pocono Mountain Arts Council and Skytop Lodge Eighth Annual Skytop Holiday Arts Festival will be on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 25 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is free.

It will feature the work of about 50 artists and artisans.Pottery and wood-turned pieces, wood art, furniture, fused and stained glass work, jewelry in a variety of styles and mediums, fine woven women's apparel and accessories, carpet bags and satchels, and hand-painted silks will be displayed. The fine arts will be represented by photographers working in traditional and digitally-enhanced modes, and by art in a wide variety of styles and mediums, including watercolor, oil, acrylics, pastels and mixed media.
