A Dauphin County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one vehicle crash in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Arturo A. Leon, 39, of Lykens, was driving a 2002 Acura MDX eastbound on SR443 in Wayne Township, about 1:44 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, when it went onto the north berm.The vehicle then struck a concrete culvert with its front end. After impact the Acura began to rotate counter-clockwise as it continued east on a grass lawn for about 150 feet.The Acura then traveled about 20 feet across an asphalt driveway sideways and then struck a dirt embankment next to a house. The Acura became lodged in the embankment and had to be towed from the scene.Leon was found to be under the influence and was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test. He sustained minor injuries in the crash, troopers said.The DUI charge is pending the test results.
