The ninth annual Christmas in the Country event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 and Sunday, Dec. 2, at Country Inn and Suites, Route 209, in Franklin Township.

Everyone is invited to drop off a new unwrapped toy for the toy drive or canned goods for the food drive.There will be a Chinese auction, hot dog sale, as well as complimentary cookies, punch and coffee. Santa will visit during the event.All proceeds benefit the Blue Ridge Food and Toy Drive, coordinated by the Carbon Mountain Marine Corps League Detachment 996.
