A Schuylkill County woman is facing charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), following an incident that occurred about 9:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, along SR4033, near SR339, in North Union Township.

State police at Frackville said troopers encountered a vehicle at the above location which was stopped and impeding traffic.The driver was identified as Francine P. Bretowski, 40, of Sheppton. She was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest and taken into custody. While in custody she slipped her one hand out of the handcuffs and attempted to flee. She then resisted arrest and had to be forcibly handcuffed.She is facing two counts of DUI and resisting arrest, troopers said.
