Three Summit Hill women said they favor putting playground equipment in Ginder Park. Ginder Park is an area of grass and trees in front of the Ginter School, outside the fence of Ginder Stadium. A letter was sent to Summit Hill Borough Council by Mrs. Pat Iezzoni, Margaret McCarroll, and Jane Hellmund, stating, "The senior citizens have agreed to relinquish their privileges in Ginder Park in favor of the young kindergarten set." They also suggested flooding the upper half of the stadium for winter ice skating.
