Volley for a cause in Thorpe

JTAHS Girl's Volleyball Team and others joined together in a community effort to raise money to help out the family of Khaliq Lynch, a JTAHS football team member who was seriously injured in an automobile accident and remains hospitalized in serious condition.

The Girl's Volleyball Team raised the money through "Volley for a Cause" by collecting a dollar a volley served, plus monetary donations from the JTAHS football and volleyball players, and people from the community.The fundraiser was held at the halftime of the JTAHS vs. Blue Mountain girl's Volleyball game which was played in Jim Thorpe.The Blue Mountain Girl's Volleyball team and coaches also donated $130 and a handwritten card.Khaliq's two brothers, Dante and D.J. Lynch represented the family at the event.If anyone is interested in contributing a monetary donation to help the family, they can send it : Attn.
