The Palmerton Food Pantry will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19.The pantry is located at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2915 Fireline Road, Palmerton. Enjoy a free meal and fellowship.Halloween paradeThe Palmerton Halloween Parade will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 21. The rain date is Monday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.Resource FairFrom 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24, the Palmerton Area School District Resource Fair will be held in the high school gymnasium.The fair will be an opportunity for students, parents, and community members and groups to see what is available to students in the community.Among those groups will be Boys and Girls Scouts, public library, booster club, community services, school clubs, and Parent-Teacher Organizations.Plan to attend and take advantage of this exciting opportunity.Children's paradeThe students of Palmer Elementary and Parkside Schools will parade in the Palmerton Borough Park on Thursday, Oct. 26.Veterans MemorialThe dedication for the Palmerton War Memorial will be held at noon, Sunday, Nov. 11, in the Palmerton Borough Park.Veterans ParadePalmerton will host the Carbon County Veterans Parade from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11. The rain date is Sunday, Nov. 18.
