A Jim Thorpe driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred in the borough about 5:24 p.m. on April 28.

Police said Charles Edward Cera, 59, of 145 Wild Creek Drive, was stopped for a traffic violation in the area of 1215 North St. Cera displayed signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest for DUI.He failed field sobriety tests and submitted to a blood test. The test revealed a .15BAC.Cera was charged with two counts of DUI and several summary traffic violations, police said.
