No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, along SR61 in New Castle Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Charles Horton Jr., 48, of Beaverrun, Va., was driving a 2013 Ford Explorer southbound and attempted to turn into an old asplalt plant just south of the Schuylkill Mall.In doing so he pulled into the path of a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt operated by June Kizmitsky, 59, of Ringtown.Troopers said Horton was cited for causing the crash.
