The Lehigh Valley's most modern furniture store formally opened to the public with a Lehighton show room. The newer and larger N. & J. Greenberger home is located in the Saeger building at 243 North First Street. Jack Greenberger said four new Philco and Emerson portable radios were given away as door prizes. Edward McGrail, the well-liked manager, said there will be no sales on the opening day because he wants to devote all the time to visiting with his many old friends who attend the opening.
