A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a crash that occurred about 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, along SR1006 (Burma Road), in Ryan Township.

State police at Frackville said Adam Ould, 21, of Pottsville, operating a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was southbound just past the Mountain Valley Golf Course, when his vehicle left the road and struck a tree. It was raining at the time, troopers noted.Ould showed signs of intoxication and was transported to the barracks for a breath test. Troopers said Ould will be charged with DUI and summary traffic violations.
