Loans totaling $300,000 have been granted by the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority to two Panther Valley industrial development organizations. The Greater Tamaqua Industrial Development Enterprises (TIDE) will receive a loan of $240,000 for completion of its first shell building at Tidewood Industrial Park, Hometown. The Carbon-Schuylkill Industrial Development Corp. (CSIDC) will be given $60,000 to be applied to the conversion of a building in Lansford that houses the Majestic Lamp Mfg. Corp.
