State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of copper and other items from an electric company site in Schuylkill County.

The theft occurred sometime between Aug. 23 and Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Girard Manor tap air break location in Mahanoy Township, which is owned by PPL Electric Utilities Corp., of Frackville.Criminals removed 83-feet of copper, multiple lug connectors, and multiple steel grounding grates (three by five-feet), from four tap sites. The estimated value of the missing items was set at $1,228.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570)-874-5300.
