A deer and a car collided in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Edward G. Fessler, 48, of Pottsville, was driving a 2008 Chevorlet Malibu southbound on SR61 about 3:10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, when a deer entered the road in front of him.Fessler applied his brakes but the front of the car struck the deer.Fessler was not injured but his vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
