All four Tamaqua fire companies, as well as numerous fire companies from surrounding areas, converged at the intersection of W. Broad and S. Lehigh streets, this morning after people reported seeing an orange glow and smoke rising from the top of a home on the 400 block of W. Broad St. Firefighters and police searched the area using thermal imaging cameras and flashlights, although nothing was found. Tamaqua Ambulance also responded. Fire Police directed traffic around the area during the response.
