Zions Lutheran Church, Third and Fell Streets in Weatherly will honor the areas Fire, Police, Ambulance, Rescue and other community volunteers at a special worship service on Sunday, September 30 at 3pm.

The service will be a special "Blue Service" with inspirational music and hymns as well as prayers for those who serve and protect Weatherly and the surrounding communities. A special prayer will be said for all organization members, who have passed away in the past 5-years, a bell will be rung to honor each person.Zions invites any and all members of these organizations to attend this service in appreciation for the work you do to make this area safe. Members of the organizations are asked to wear uniforms, if appropriate. A reception with light refreshments will take place in the church annex after the service.Please have the names of members you wish to have honored in the bell prayer to the Zions Lutheran Church office 335 Third St. Weatherly PA 18255 or phone (570) 427-4113 by September 15t to have them printed in the bulletin. An approximate count of those planning to attend would be appreciated so we may prepare accordingly.
