State police at Fogelsville conducted a speed check enforcement detail using an aircraft. The detail was conducted on Friday, Aug. 24, along Interstate 78 in Salisbury Township, Lehigh County, beginning about 10 a.m.

As a result 11 speeding citations were issued with the highest speed clocked at 102 miles-per-hour. After the detail participating patrol units resumed regular patrols.Troopers will continue with periodic use of such speed checks along I78 in an effort to target aggressive drivers and reduce crashes.
