Rush Township police recently responded to several incidents at the Pines Motel along SR309.

Following one incident, Benjamin A. Kuzo, 19, of Nesquehoning, and Ashtyn G. Mark, 23, of Liverpool,Perry County, were cited for possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.Kuzo was also charged with underage drinking, while Mark faces charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor.On Aug. 15, officers were dispatched to the motel for a theft incident. Robert Knepper, 51, of Tamaqua, was charged with criminal attempt to commit theft, criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, and loitering and prowling at night. He allegedly attempted to steal ice from an ice machine.Lori Motzer, 45, of Pottsville, was charged with criminal conspiracy stemming from the Knepper incident.
