Break-in, theft incidents probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a burglary, an attempted break-in, and a theft from vehicle incident.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Marie Ann Anderson, 43, of 3001 Pleasant View Drive, Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County. Troopers said an Xbox 360 MWS limited edition was removed from the residence sometime between Aug. 7 at 5:30 p.m. and Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. The item is valued at $550.The attempted break-in occurred at the Bowmanstown Borough building located along Ore St. Troopers said the incident occurred about 3:45 a.m. on Aug. 8. Once the intruder attempted to enter the building, the alarm sounded which apparently scared him off.The theft from vehicle incident was reported in the area of 75 Pheasant Hill Drive, in Kunkletown, Carbon County.The vehicles of Stephen Michael Scholz, 40, of that address, and Comroe Advance Power Inc., of 3061 Pheasant Drive, Northamption, were entered. Removed from the vehicles were a GPS unit, Nikon binoculars, small pocket knife, a Bosch Bull Dog hammer drill, Pantech cell phone, and three fleet gas cards.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
