U.S. Congressional candidate Cummings listens to concerns of Carbon Co. residents

Friends of U.S. Congressional candidate Laureen Cummings sponsored a picnic on July 31 at Jim Thorpe Memorial Park to give the candidate an opportunity to hear from voters in Carbon County.

During the event, Cummings first made her way to each individual to listen to their concerns and hear what they are looking for in a candidate. In a speech that followed, she espoused her Pro-Life/Pro-Second Amendment/Small Government beliefs."She's down to earth, has great values, and is passionate about this district and our country!" said Kristen Marks, an interested observer."Laureen epitomizes Carbon County values and will represent Pennsylvania's 17th Congressional district with the strength and the passion she is known for," said Maryellen Salerno, chairwoman of the Carbon County Republican Committee.For more about the Cummings candidacy, go online at
