A MaryD man was cited by Tamaqua police following an incident at the Tamaqua Public Library.
David Miller Jr., 23, allegedly removed a donation can for the Tamaqua Area Animal Rescue group, which had been located in the library.The theft took place at 10:38 a.m. on July 18 and the suspect was confronted by a retired law enforcement officer. The canister, which contained $23.15, was recovered.The incident was caught on videotape and Miller identified as the suspect.He was charged with theft and receiving stolen property.
