Military-style exercise sessions at Tamaqua Salvation Army

Need a little fitness motivation? If so, try attending the free military-style exercise sessions being held every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. in the gym of the Tamaqua Salvation Army. The sessions, which last about an hour, are taught by volunteer Andrew Leibenguth, a Marine Corps veteran. Participants are asked to see a physician before joining any exercise programs. Leibenguth added that these sessions are open to all ages and each exercise will be specific for each person's abilities. All participants are required to bring a towel and drink plenty of water the day before and a few hours prior to the event. Pre-registration is required. To sign-up or for more information, call Leibenguth at (570) 668-1234.
