One-vehicle crash

A Nesquehoning man was charged with multiple offenses after he crashed his vehicle in Summit Hill and fled the scene.

According to Summit Hill police, on May 3, at 5:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of the Panther Valley High School along Route 209 for a one-vehicle accident. The driver had fled the scene on foot.After an investigation was conducted, it was learned that the driver of the vehicle, Cody Kmetz, 20, of 3 Second Ave., was inhaling a substance at the time of the accident.He was charged with use of solvents or noxious substance while driving, flight to avoid apprehension, driving under the influence of solvents or noxious substance and careless driving.
