Three cited for DUI

Three drivers are facing driving under the influence (DUI) charges in separate incidents reported by state police at Lehighton.

Troopers said Benjamin David Philhower, 33, of East Stroudsburg, was stopped for a traffic violation about 2:30 a.m. on Friday, July 20, along SR209, south of Weir Lake Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI.On Saturday, July 21, about 10:16 p.m. troopers stopped Delbert George, 60, of Kunkletown, along Little Gap Road, at Douglas Lane, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for traffic code violations. He was found to be under the influence and was arrested for DUI.On Sunday, July 22, about 11:48 p.m. troopers stopped Gerard Shea, 56, of Saylorsburg, along Gilbert Road, at Fairgrounds Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, for several traffic violations. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI.
