Schuylkill woman jailed for assault

A Schuylkill County woman was jailed for assault following a domestic incident.

State police at Frackville said troopers responded to the residence at 232 Florida Ave., Shenandoah Heights, West Mahanoy Township, about 7:52 a.m. on Sunday, July 22, for a domestic disturbance. On scene troopers learned that Tami Lynnanne Grady, had struck Joseph Paul Alshefski, both of that address, in the face several times causing injuries to his face.She was taken into custody and arraigned before on-call District Judge James Reiley, of Pottsville, on charges of simple assault and harassment. She was committed to the county prison after failing to post 10 percent of $10,000 bail.Troopers also reported on another incident.Troopers said about 10:40 a.m. on July 17 Kathy Levandusky and John Levandusky, both of Shenandoah, were in a vehicle southbound on SR61 near Mall Road, in Ryan Township, when a verbal argument developed. The argument turned physical when Kathy Levandusky slapped John Levandusky in the face.At the request of John Levandusky, she was charged with harassment, troopers said.
