A Lehigh County teen was killed in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 10:59 p.m. on Friday, July 20, along SR309, under the Interstate 78 overpass in Lower Macungie Township.

State police at Fogelsville said William David Bickford, 19, of Orefield, was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt southbound and negotiating a left hand curve when he lost control. The car went onto the east shoulder and impacted into a barrier under the overpass.After impact the car traveled about 100 feet and rolled onto the driver's side. Bickford was partially ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
