John Harkins IV, 34, of Lehighton, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a traffic stop made by state police at the Lehighton barracks at 9:53 p.m. July 4 on Route 248, near the Palmerton ramp in that borough.
Police said he was stopped for a violation (driving on roadways laned for traffic), after which a series of field sobriety tests were administered that indicated he was driving while intoxicated.
