State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating the theft of jewelry from a parked vehicle in Penn Forest Township.

The incident happened between noon July 4 and 2 p.m. July 19 at a property along Shadblue Lane in the township.The victim is Deborah Gerber, 60, of Jim Thorpe.She told police someone entered her unlocked Rav 4 and proceeded to remove the jewelry from the glove box of the vehicle before fleeing in an unknown direction.
