Numerous DUI arrests reported

State police at Lehighton reported on numerous driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers recently.

On June 29 about 5:54 p.m. troopers said Sherry Patricia Roberts, 43, of 2556 Monocacy Ave., Apt. E, Bath, Northampton County, lost control of her car along Forest Inn Road, in the area of Boyer Farm Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, and crashed into the woods.She was found to be under the influence and arrested for DUI, troopers said.On July 3 about 10:27 p.m. troopers stopped Rachael A. Ingram, 25, of Emmaus, along at the intersection of state routes 209 and 443, in Lehighton, for a traffic violation. She was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest with charges filed.On July 5 about 9:19 p.m. Michael Lucas, 46, of Lehighton, was stopped at Canal and Bridge sts., Weissport, for a suspicion of DUI. He was taken for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.On July 7 about 12:10 a.m. Kevin Wagner, 47, of Saylorsburg, was stopped along Spruce Hollow Road at Church Road, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for motor vehicle code violations. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest. Charges were filed.Also on July 7 about 9:28 p.m. troopers stopped Eric Christopher Mack, 20, of Walnutport, at the intersection of state routes 248 and 209 in Lehighton for a traffic violation. Troopers said a further investigation led to Mack being charged with DUI of a controlled substance. Also, his passenger, Travis Lee Lunden, 19, of Walnutport, was taken into custody for violation of the drug act and underage drinking. Mack was taken to the Palmerton hospital for a blood test. Charges were filed.On July 8 about 2:03 a.m. troopers stopped Derrick T. Hummel, 50, of Saylorsburg, along Old Route 115 in the area of Lake Drive, in Ross Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest. The DUI charge is pending blood test results, troopers said.On July 10 about 1:30 a.m. troopers stopped John Alfaro III, 22, of Effort, along Gilbert Road at Country Glen Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest.On July 11 about 12:20 a.m. Michael Kearney, 52, of Palmerton, was operating a 2007 Jeep along Center St., in Parryville, Carbon County, when he drove off the road and struck a utility pole. He was found to be under the influence.When attempting to take him into custody he resisted officers and became confrontational, troopers said, and failed to follow commands. He was taken to the Lehighton hospital for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.On July 13, about 3 a.m., Matthew James Page, 24, of Kunkletown, wa found asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle at the intersection of state routes 715 and 209, in Chestnuthill Township. He was found to be under the influence and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.On July 14, about 8:45 p .m., troopers responded to Tratorria's Restaurant along SR903 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, for a disturbance. After further investigation a traffic stop was made of the possible suspects in the disturbance.The operator was identified as Shawn Patrick Rudis, 48, of Drums, Luzerne County. He was found to be under the influence and taken to the Palmerton hospital for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.A passenger, Erin L. Cleary, 33, also of Drums, was taken into custody and charged with persistent disorderly conduct and placed in the county prison in Nesquehoning.Also on July 14, about 8:57 p.m., troopers stopped Joseph Patrick Hennessey, 53, of Saylorsburg, along SR115 at Creature Comforts, Ross Township, Monroe County, for a vehicle code violation. He was found to be under the influence and arrested for DUI.
