The Bicentennial Committee of the Community Betterment Association of Tamaqua presented official buttons to the Tamaqua borough. The unique design of the Bicentennial Committee's souvenir buttons and stationery was presented to the committee by former Tamaqua resident and native Jack Boyle. The official symbol depicts an Indian silhouette in blue at the left corner and incorporates the numbers '76" in the right corner.
