Martin Brennan and Joseph Engleman of Mauch Chunk, who were reported as being held at Sunbury for an alleged train hold-up, stated today that the circumstances were exactly opposite. Both men were riding from Altoona and when they reached Catawissa, two escaped convicts, wearing prison garb, entered the freight car and after a battle, robbed them, taking their money, gold watch, and clothing. The police chief provided them with clothing and they have returned to Mauch Chunk. They said they were amazed when they saw an article which stated they held up the train.
