Subdivision plans, applications reviewed

The Schuylkill County Planning Commission reviewed two subdivision and local subdivision plans and project applications at its monthly meeting held Wednesday evening at the courthouse in Pottsville.

The subdivision plan of Carol Moyer to annex 10.02 acres in Washington Township to Ernest and Debra Lewis, received approval and the plan of 315 Lehigh, LLC, to subdivide and annex a lot containing 0.224 of an acre in Minersville, received conditional approval and has 90 days to bring the plan to full compliance.The board reviewed subdivision plans submitted to local planning boards and after reviewing the plans returned the plans for further action.The plan of William L. Guers to annex two tracts, 16.404 acres and 6.046 acres onto an adjoining property also owned by Guers. The tract is located in mining residential district in Blythe Township and he is in the business of selling top soil and mulch.Elvin and Dorothy Morrow seek to annex a lot containing 0.067 of an acre located on East Lawton Street, Saint Clair, to Michael and Denise Petrozino, The board commented that the Uniform Parcel Identifier (UPI) must be certified by the county assessment bureau.Fanelli Limited Partnership seeks to expand a 27.9419 acre lot of the truck terminal at the High Ridge Business Park in Cass Township. The board ruled a site lighting plan must be provided at the building.Daryl and Jane Frantz propose a two-lot subdivision for a total of 20.47828 acres. One lot containing 18.970 acres of vacant agricultural land is to be retained by the Frantz's and the second lot is to be annexed to an existing lot owned by Dean H. Klinger. The property is located on Berger Road in Pine Grove Township. The board reported the plan's UPI number must be certified.John Rich Inc. proposes the construction of faculties for a garden supply store and artisan and speciality shop on Summer Valley Road in West Brunswick Township. The board commented a highway occupancy permit from PennDOT is needed for access on Summer Valley Road (SR895).Mary J. Tharpe proposes a two lot subdivision for a total of 201.318 acres. The lot containing 195.281 acres is residue of a parent tract that lays north and south of Bear Creek Road (Township Route 674) in Wayne Township, and contains a house. The property is located along Red Hill Road. She plans to annex the second lot, 6.0372 acres, which is vacant woods and fields, to adjoining land owned by Red Hill Game Association.Applications reviewedThe board reviewed applications filed to state agencies seeking permits for various projects.Eagle Rock Resorts Company, Hazle Township, Luzerne County, for its Hidden Forest project in its Eagle Rock Resorts in East Union Township is seeking a stormwater discharge permit.URDC, Tamaqua, is seeking approval of a sewage planning module for a 27-lot residential subdivision located on Owl Creek Road.PennDOT notified the county planning commission an air quality program was renewed for the state correctional facility in Ryan Township.Kline Township Municipal Authority is in the process of preparing a public waters supply permit application for the construction of a new booster pump station to tie the authority's Well Number Two and Six and Well Number Five.EarthRes Group, Pine Grove, submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection Agency for renewal of an air quality permit to operate three steam boilers, a hot boiler, a hot water heater, five tenter frames and mix tanks, a textile fabric dyehouse and a heat transfer print process.Board members attending were Gary Bender, chairman; Charles Ross, James Setlock, Anthony Prudenti, David Briggs, Kenneth Lehman, Gerald Lengel, and Bob Lettich.
