Pocono Mountain Regional police reported investigating an accident in which a vehicle struck a child riding a bicycle.

The incident occurred about 6:21 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, at the intersection of Rob Roy and Dorchester roads, in Pocono Farms East development in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township.Police said a vehicle driven by Jerry Cribbs, 55, of Tobyhanna, struck a child on a bike, reportedly running over the child.The child was flown by medical helicopter to a Lehigh Valley area trauma center.Police did not release the age of the child.No condition report was available for the child.
