Flagstaff Park in Jim Thorpe is a beehive of activity these days as A. Franklin Wehr, Lehighton, the owner, personally supervises several renovation projects, principal among which is conversion of the exterior of the former restaurant-tavern building into a Swiss chalet. Curt Bailey, New Ringgold, is the contractor. John Miorelli, Tamaqua, is the architect. When completed, the building will feature a restaurant and gift shop. The entire building will be done over with rough boards and heavy timbers, after which a dark paint stain will be applied.
