The Lehighton Fire Department, a perennial winner in the Four County Firemen's Association Parade, did it again today, claiming the trophy for the best appearing uniformed company of not less than 40 men in East Stroudsburg. The Fairview Hose Company of Jim Thorpe, also a consistent winner down through the years, won second prize in the category. The Weatherly Fire Company was honored as the company traveling the longest distance. Lehighton took second place behind Hecktown for best appearing ambulance.
