A Carbon County driver was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Schuylkill County in which she will be cited.
Shenandoah police said the accident occurred along the Gold Star Highway (SR924), about 9:15 p.m. on Monday, June 18. Police said Linda Tomtishen, 60, of Summit Hill, was driving a 2007 Kia Rio southbound when she decided to make a U-turn. In doing so her vehicle struck a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire driven by Cara Yuskoski, 23, of Shenandoah Heights, who was also southbound.Tomtishen and a passenger with Yuskoski, Diana Aponick, 25, also of Shenandoah Heights, sustained minor injuries and were taken to Pottsville area hospitals, police said.Tomtishen will be cited for making an improper U-turn, police said.
