Crashes probed

State police at Fern Ridge reported on three crashes probed by troopers.

A two vehicle crash occurred about 9:51 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, along SR209 at the intersection with McIlhaney Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Joy M. Floyd, 42, of Phillipsburg, N.J., was stopped in a 2004 Chrysler 300 on McIlhaney Road and pulled out onto 209 and into the path of a 2012 Toyota Camry driven by Pete G. Triantis, 84, of Whitestone, N.Y. The front of the Camry hit the driver's side of the Chrysler.No one was injured. Troopers cited Floyd for a stop sign violation.A one vehicle crash was reported about 8:38 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Angel Ruiz, 46, of Gales Ferry, Conn., was driving a 2007 Honda Accord eastbound when a deer entered the road in front of him. Ruiz was unable to avoid the animal and struck it with the front end. Ruiz was not injured but damages to the front end were disabling to the vehicle.A three vehicle collision was reported on June 1 about 9:11 a.m. along SR209 in front of a McDonald's Restaurant, which one driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI).Troopers sid Robert H. Sebring, 47, of Henryville, was southbound and attempted to make a left turn into the restaurant lot when he pulled into the path of a 2000 Plymouth Voyager operated northbound by Richardo Gonzalez, 29, of Stroudsburg. The front of Sebring's 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier struck the front of the Voyager. After impact the Voyager jumped the curb and hit a parked 1996 Mercury Sable.Troopers said Sebring appeared impaired and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. No one was injured in the crash.
